Do you offer lesson packages?

Tailored Packages – Rijleszone.nl

At Rijleszone.nl, we believe in a personal approach. That’s why we create packages that match your level, learning style, and experience. During the trial lesson, we assess your driving skills and then make a suitable proposal.

What does a package include?

A package usually consists of:

  • A set number of driving lessons
  • A theory course (if needed)
  • A practical exam with the CBR

How much does a package cost?

The cost of a package depends on the number of lessons you need. We determine this based on the trial lesson. If you already have experience or learn quickly, a smaller package may be enough. Packages start from €1400.

We take factors into account such as:

  • Previous driving experience
  • Insight and vehicle control
  • How quickly you handle new situations

How many lessons does a beginner need?

The CBR advises an average of 40 to 45 hours of driving lessons for beginners. Some students need slightly fewer, others a bit more. During the trial lesson, we estimate how many lessons you will need.

Already have driving experience?

Have you taken lessons before or can you already drive quite well? Then we won’t start from scratch. During the trial lesson, you show us what you can already do, and we build from there. That way, you avoid unnecessary lessons.

For experienced students, we also offer exam training from €1400.

Driving lessons in double lessons

Our lessons normally last 50 minutes. We advise taking lessons in double sessions: two lessons back-to-back. This leads to better learning results and less wasted time.

Get your licence at 17

Get your driving licence from age 16.5 – How it works

From the age of 16, you may start learning theory. As soon as you are 16 years and 6 months old, you may start practical lessons. This means you can begin building driving experience at a young age.

Get your licence at 17

At 17, you may take your practical exam with the CBR. If you pass, you may drive under the supervision of a coach. This allows you to safely gain experience until you turn 18 and may drive independently.

Supervised driving until age 18

If you drive with a coach from the age of 17, you build valuable traffic experience in a short time. This extra guidance helps you prepare better for the moment you are allowed to drive completely independently. Many young drivers feel more confident on the road because of this.

Why this system (2toDrive) works

2toDrive is a government programme that helps young people learn to drive more safely. National figures show that students who get their licence through 2toDrive cause fewer accidents and drive with more confidence. That makes it not only smarter, but also safer.

Your scooter licence is included too

Did you know that when you obtain your car driving licence, you also automatically receive the AM licence (scooter/moped)? Two licences in one – without extra costs.

Higher pass rate

According to CBR figures, students who take their exam at the age of 17 have a higher average pass rate than older candidates. Starting early really pays off.

How many lessons do you need?

During your trial lesson, the instructor looks at your driving skills and gives you tailored advice. You’ll immediately know approximately how many lessons you need and what your driving licence will cost.

Learning theory

Many students find the theory exam difficult. That’s why at Rijleszone.nl you get access to the latest digital 3D theory course, including hundreds of practice questions. That way, you can practise everything you need to know.

Don’t feel like studying for a long time? Then we also offer a one-day theory course that can help you pass your theory exam in 1 day.

How many lessons can I take per week?

How many driving lessons can I take per week?

At Rijleszone.nl, you can take lessons several times a week, depending on your availability and your instructor’s schedule. In most regions, it’s possible to move quickly and plan multiple lessons per week.

What determines the pace of my driving course?

How quickly you get your driving licence depends on a few important factors:

  • Whether you have already passed your theory exam
  • Whether you have paid for your driving lesson package
  • The date of your practical exam
  • How flexible you are in scheduling lessons

Booking your driving exam

Have you passed your theory exam and arranged your lesson package? Then we can immediately request your practical exam. We reserve the earliest available date at the CBR so you don’t have to wait unnecessarily.

Personal planning

Using the exam date as your target, you and your instructor discuss how best to spread the lessons. This gives you a clear learning plan that fits your pace and your schedule.

How long does a driving lesson last?

How long does a driving lesson last?

At Rijleszone.nl, we usually drive in double lessons: two lessons back-to-back. This helps you get the most out of your lesson and allows you to practise longer routes without interruption.

What is the advantage of a double lesson?

Our experience shows that longer driving lessons work better. You have more time to practise situations in traffic and get into a good rhythm faster. This improves your learning process and increases your chance of passing.

What about the trial lesson?

The trial lesson is intended to determine your level and give advice about the number of lessons you need. Your instructor assesses where you are and discusses the best approach with you.

Prefer shorter lessons?

Do you find a double lesson too long, or does it not fit your schedule? No problem. We are flexible and are happy to adjust to your preference.

Can I have lessons with a female instructor?
Yes, on request we will try to schedule a female instructor for you.
The benefits of double lessons

What are the benefits of double lessons?

At Rijleszone.nl, we often teach in double lessons: two lessons directly after one another. This approach offers several benefits that speed up and improve the learning process.

  • Faster progress: By driving for longer periods, you can go deeper into the material and improve more quickly.
  • More confidence behind the wheel: You become more familiar with the car and continuously build your driving skills.
  • Improved concentration: No break in between means you stay sharp and practise with better focus.
  • Efficient use of lesson time: You travel less often and switch less between appointments, which saves time and energy.
  • Flexible scheduling: With double lessons, you can take more lessons in fewer days, which is useful if you have a busy schedule.

Would you rather take one lesson at a time? That’s also possible. We adjust our planning to what works best for you.

Can I take driving lessons every day?

Can I take driving lessons every day?

That depends on your availability, our schedule, and most importantly: your exam date. How many lessons you take per week matters less than when your exam is scheduled.

Your driving exam determines the pace

After your trial lesson, we reserve your driving exam immediately. That gives clarity about your end goal. From that moment on, we create a lesson schedule together to make sure you are ready on time.

Intensive lessons? Yes, that’s possible!

Would you like to take lessons several times a week? That is certainly possible if you are flexible and our schedule allows it. This way, you can make big improvements in a short period of time.

A lesson plan tailored to you

We take your pace, experience, and learning style into account. Whether you want to move fast or build things up more calmly – we create a plan together that works for you.

Ready to begin?

Can I exchange my foreign driving licence?

Can I exchange my foreign driving licence?

That depends on the country where you obtained your licence. In some cases, you can directly convert your foreign licence into a Dutch driving licence. This usually applies to countries within the European Union or countries with an exchange agreement.

Licence from an EU country or exchangeable country?

Are you from an EU country or a country with agreements with the Netherlands? Then you can often exchange your licence without taking an extra exam. Contact the RDW or check their website for the current list.

Outside the EU? Theory and practical again

Do you have a driving licence from a country outside the EU and without an exchange arrangement? Then in the Netherlands, you must take the theory exam again and also complete the practical exam. No worries – you already know how to drive, so it mainly comes down to proper exam preparation.

Tailored exam training

At Rijleszone.nl, we offer exam training specifically for experienced drivers with a foreign driving licence. This helps you get your Dutch driving licence quickly and efficiently.

Personal advice

Call or message us with your situation. We are happy to think along with you and explain which steps you can take to get your driving licence in the Netherlands.

Are you always available if I have questions?
We are easy to reach via WhatsApp, email, and phone during our opening hours.
I’m quite nervous about my driving lesson, what should I do?

I’m quite nervous about my driving lesson, what should I do?

Don’t worry – that feeling is completely normal. Many students feel nervous before their first driving lesson. The good news is: you don’t have to do it alone.

We guide you step by step

Our instructors are patient and experienced and know exactly how to make you feel at ease. During the first lesson, we start calmly so you can get used to the car and traffic at your own pace.

Safety comes first

Did you know our lesson cars have dual controls? That means your instructor can always help steer, brake, or accelerate when needed. So you are never truly alone behind the wheel.

Prepare yourself calmly

Good preparation can reduce your nerves. Take a look at some traffic rules or practise theory questions beforehand. That way, you’ll feel more confident and know what to expect.

Remember: making mistakes is allowed

Driving lessons are there for learning. Nobody expects you to do everything perfectly right away. It is precisely through practice and mistakes that you improve. We are here to help you – step by step, with confidence and without pressure.

So take a deep breath, get into the lesson car, and know that we are working on your driving licence together!

Driving lessons several times a week

Can I take driving lessons several times a week?

Yes, at Rijleszone.nl, in most cases you can take driving lessons several times a week. This helps you make faster progress and work towards your practical exam more effectively.

Learn faster by taking lessons more often

Students who take lessons only once a week often lose time repeating previous lessons. By driving more frequently – ideally in double lessons – you remember more, practise more intensively, and learn to drive independently faster.

Double lessons for better results

We often schedule double lessons consisting of two lessons in a row. This gives you more time to practise traffic situations without having to stop all the time. This improves both your driving skills and your confidence.

Availability & flexibility

You can also take lessons in the evening or on weekends. Please note: these times are popular and therefore have limited availability. So plan on time and let us know if you can only take lessons in the evenings or on weekends.

CBR waiting times

Because of nationwide pressure at the CBR, the average waiting times for practical exams have increased to 8 to 9 weeks. In some regions this can be even longer. The CBR is working on extra capacity, and we do our best to help you get an exam date as quickly as possible.

Want your driving licence quickly? Then book your trial lesson today. The sooner you start, the faster we can move forward!

Do you offer automatic driving lessons?

Automatic driving lessons – Is it right for you?

Would you like to take driving lessons in an automatic car? At Rijleszone, this is possible in various cities. Driving an automatic can be a great solution for many students. But is it the right choice for you? Read on and discover the pros and cons.

Advantages of automatic driving lessons
  • ✅ Less stress: No clutch and no gear shifting – so you can focus more on traffic.
  • ✅ Ideal for fear of failure or nerves: You only have to focus on steering and observing.
  • ✅ Physically more comfortable: Useful if shifting gears is difficult due to medical reasons.
Disadvantages to keep in mind
  • ⚠️ Automatic only: After passing your exam, you may not drive a manual car.
  • ⚠️ Limited availability: We do not offer automatic driving lessons in every city.
  • ⚠️ Higher costs: Automatic driving lessons cost €7 extra per lesson.
When is automatic the right choice?

Choose automatic if:

  • You have failed multiple times and gear shifting is the main issue.
  • You have physical complaints that make gear shifting difficult.
  • You want to get your driving licence faster and with less stress.

Would you rather keep all options open and pay less? Then manual lessons may be the better choice.

Where do we offer automatic driving lessons?

Automatic driving lessons are available in:

  • Amsterdam
  • Almere
  • Hilversum
  • Amersfoort
  • Rotterdam
  • Barendrecht
  • Dordrecht
  • Zwijndrecht
  • Ridderkerk

How do I know how many driving lessons I need?

How do I know how many driving lessons I need?

The number of driving lessons you need depends entirely on your personal situation. During your trial lesson, we make an estimate based on your skills, experience, and traffic insight. That way, you know exactly what to expect and what your driving licence is going to cost.

Starting from zero?

If you have never driven before, you are what we call a beginner. According to CBR figures, a beginner needs between 40 and 45 hours of driving lessons on average to pass the practical exam successfully. During your trial lesson, we assess how quickly you learn and whether you may need fewer lessons.

Already have driving experience?

Do you already have driving experience, for example from abroad or from previous driving lessons? Then during the trial lesson, we look at what you already master. We continue from where you left off, so you don’t waste time on things you already know. This often makes a significant difference in the number of lessons you still need.

Personal approach

No two students are the same. That is why we tailor your lesson plan entirely to your learning speed, availability, and goal. This way, you always receive a fair estimate of the number of driving lessons needed, and together we work purposefully towards your practical exam.

Cancelling your driving lesson

How can I cancel my driving lesson?

Of course, it can happen that you suddenly cannot attend your lesson, for example because of illness or another urgent reason. At Rijleszone, you can cancel your driving lesson free of charge, provided that you do so in time.

Cancel at least 48 hours in advance

If you cancel your driving lesson at least 48 hours before the scheduled time, no costs will be charged. That gives us enough time to offer the slot to someone else.

What about unforeseen circumstances?

In special situations, such as sudden illness or an emergency, we recommend contacting your instructor immediately. In consultation, we will then look together at whether a solution is possible without extra costs. Sometimes, for example, you may still be able to schedule a replacement lesson in the same week.

An appointment is an appointment

We do our best to be flexible, but we also ask you to take scheduled appointments seriously. That way, we keep it fair for everyone and avoid unnecessary costs or waiting times.

Do I need to have passed theory before taking driving lessons?
No, you can start driving lessons without theory, but you do need theory for your practical exam.

Trial lesson

How does the trial lesson work?

How does the trial lesson work?

At Rijleszone, we offer a free trial lesson of about 1 hour. During this trial lesson, you can experience what it is like to take lessons with us and immediately receive personal advice about your driving course.

What will you do during the trial lesson?

You will spend around 45 to 50 minutes behind the wheel. During that time, the instructor looks at your steering technique, vehicle control, and traffic awareness. The remaining time is used to discuss your situation and create a tailored plan.

Immediate personal advice

After the trial lesson, you will know exactly how many lessons you need, what the costs are, and how quickly you can take your exam. Have you driven before? Then we build further on what you can already do, so you don’t have to take unnecessary lessons.

Free when you start your course

If you decide to continue with us after the trial lesson, the trial lesson is completely free. We then settle the €45 amount in your package.

How does the pick-up work?

The instructor picks you up from home, or we agree on an easily accessible location. That way, we make it easy for you to get started.

No obligation

You are not tied to anything. After the trial lesson, you decide for yourself whether you want to continue taking lessons with us. Want to start immediately? You can! Prefer to think about it first? That’s also fine — in both cases, we help you make the best decision.

Why start with a trial lesson?

Why start with a trial lesson?

The trial lesson is the first step towards your driving licence. During this lesson, your instructor looks at your skills, traffic insight, and driving experience. Based on that, you immediately receive personal advice: how many lessons do you need, what will it cost, and when can you take your exam? This way, you know exactly what to expect in advance.

You’re not committed to anything

The trial lesson is meant to inform you well and give you a clear idea of our approach. Want to think about it a little longer? No problem! After the trial lesson, you can discuss it calmly and contact us later. You set the pace.

Already have driving experience?

Many driving schools make you start over, even if you already have experience. At Rijleszone, we do things differently. Have you had lessons before, or maybe even have a foreign driving licence? Show us what you can do during the trial lesson, and we will build on that. That way, you save both time and money.

Never driven before? No worries!

Have you never sat behind the wheel before? No problem! Our instructors are experienced in guiding beginners. The trial lesson is the perfect way to get introduced to driving in a safe and relaxed environment.

Ask all your questions

During the trial lesson, you can ask all your questions about the lesson programme, the costs, and the planning. We take the time to explain everything so that you can make a well-considered choice.

Prices

How much does a package cost?

What is included in a package?

At Rijleszone, we put your package together during the trial lesson. That way, we can make an offer that perfectly matches your situation. A package usually includes:

  • Your driving lessons, tailored to your level
  • A theory course (if needed)
  • The practical exam with the CBR

Additional options are also possible, such as an interim test or a fear-of-failure exam. You arrange the theory exam and health declaration yourself through the CBR website.

How much does a package cost?

The cost of a package mainly depends on the number of driving lessons you need. We determine this during your trial lesson, based on your experience and learning speed. Our packages start from €1,400.

The two most important factors are:

  • Talent and insight: How quickly do you pick up driving?
  • Previous experience: Have you taken driving lessons before?

Already have driving experience?

At many driving schools, you start all over again regardless of your experience. Not at Rijleszone. During the trial lesson, we look at what you already master and continue directly from there. That saves both time and money.

Beginner with no experience?

According to the CBR, the average for a beginner is between 40 and 45 hours. But during your trial lesson, we look at what you really need. Some students are ready with fewer lessons, while others need a bit more guidance.

Finish faster with fewer lessons

The more intensively you take lessons, the faster you get your driving licence. Spreading lessons over many months often works against you: you forget more quickly and have to repeat more often. That is why we advise at least 2 lessons per week, preferably in double lessons (two lessons back-to-back). This helps you get more out of your lesson time and achieve results faster.

What payment options are available?

Do I have to pay everything at once?

At many driving schools, you have to pay the full amount upfront, which is not possible for everyone. At Rijleszone, we offer flexible options so you can start quickly without financial pressure.

Pay in instalments

You can easily pay for your driving course in monthly instalments. The agreed amount is automatically collected by direct debit. This means no extra costs and you can start lessons straight away.

Pay in one go

Prefer to arrange everything at once? Of course, that is also possible. After payment, you immediately receive access to your online theory course, the contact details of your instructor, and we schedule your first driving lessons together.

Secure payment

You always pay through your trusted banking environment (iDEAL), quickly and securely. For security reasons, we only accept cash for the trial lesson.

Ready to start?

As soon as your payment is arranged, you can start your theory the same day and make appointments for your practical lessons. Don’t wait any longer: the sooner you begin, the sooner you’ll have your driving licence in your hands!

How expensive is getting a driving licence?

How do I know what a driving licence costs?

The cost of getting your driving licence differs from person to person. This is mainly because of the number of driving lessons you need. That’s why we always start with a free trial lesson. During this lesson, your instructor estimates how many lessons you will probably need and what your total costs will be.

Ask questions during your trial lesson

During the trial lesson, you can ask all your questions about the costs. Also ask whether the estimate covers the full process, so that you are not surprised later. Transparency is important: you should know in advance what to expect.

What if you need a re-exam?

Almost half of all candidates in the Netherlands need a re-exam. At Rijleszone, you don’t have to worry about that: with us, re-exams are free*. You only pay for the extra lessons you need to improve your skills. This keeps your driving course affordable and fair.

Saving money on your driving lessons

Do you want to need fewer driving lessons? Here’s a smart tip: plan your lessons as much as possible in the same area where you will also take your exam. This helps you become familiar with the exam environment and saves time on unnecessary driving in unfamiliar routes. That means fewer lessons, lower costs, and a higher chance of passing.

*Free re-exams apply within the conditions of our package. Ask about this during your trial lesson.

Theory first, then driving lessons?

Do I need to have passed theory before taking driving lessons?

You can start driving lessons without having passed your theory exam yet. This is ideal if you want to gain practical experience while studying theory at the same time.

When do you need theory?

A valid theory certificate is required for the practical exam and the interim test. So make sure you pass your theory in time, so that you don’t cause unnecessary delays in your driving course.

Tip: combine theory and practice

Most students progress faster by doing theory and practice in parallel. At Rijleszone, we help you with a complete online theory course and also offer a one-day theory course to help you pass in one go. That way, you are well prepared and don’t lose any time.

Theory

When should I pass my theory exam?

When should I pass my theory exam?

You can start driving lessons without a theory exam, but to take the practical exam or an interim test, a valid theory certificate is required. That is why we recommend passing your theory as soon as possible.

Why as soon as possible?

If you pass your theory exam in time, you avoid delays in your driving course. In addition, having the right theory knowledge helps you make faster progress during your practical lessons. You understand traffic rules better, which makes your lessons more efficient.

When is the ideal moment?

  • Before you start driving lessons: Ideal for a strong foundation.
  • During your first lessons: Also fine, as long as you schedule the exam in time.
  • At least 4–6 weeks before your practical exam: So your practical exam can be requested straight away.

How long is a theory certificate valid?

The theory certificate is valid for 1.5 years. So make sure your practical exam takes place within that period.

Tip from Rijleszone

Schedule your theory exam with the CBR in time and combine your learning with our online theory course. That way, you’ll be well prepared and pass faster.

Where can I take the theory exam?

Where can I take the theory exam?

The theory exam is always conducted by the CBR (Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing). You can choose from different CBR locations throughout the Netherlands. It is important to reserve your exam in time, because waiting times vary by location.

How do you book a theory exam?

You can easily book the exam via www.cbr.nl. For this, you need:

  • Your DigiD to log in
  • A valid email address for confirmation
  • Payment via iDEAL

Which cities have a CBR location?

You can take your theory exam in almost every major city in the Netherlands, such as:

  • Amsterdam
  • Rotterdam
  • Utrecht
  • The Hague
  • Almere
  • Groningen
  • And many more...

You can find the full list of locations on the CBR website. Choose the location that is most convenient for you.

Tip from Rijleszone

Plan your theory exam as soon as possible, preferably before your driving lessons become too advanced. This prevents delays in requesting your practical exam.

Do you also offer theory lessons?

Do you have a theory course?

Yes! At Rijleszone, we offer an extensive online theory course. With this course, you can study all the theory you need at home and at your own pace in order to pass the CBR exam. This means you can learn flexibly, wherever and whenever it suits you.

Why our online theory course?

  • Complete preparation: All topics are covered, so you won’t miss anything.
  • Easy learning through video: No boring texts, but clear instructional videos that explain everything step by step.
  • Hundreds of practice questions: Test your knowledge with realistic questions similar to the actual CBR exam.
  • Personal insight: See which topics you already master well and where you still need extra attention.
  • 4 months of access: You get 4 months of unlimited access to all learning material and practice exams.

Extra tip: one-day theory course

Want to pass even faster? Then consider a one-day theory course. This can be a good addition to the online course. Please note: we always recommend studying the theory in advance so that you can benefit as much as possible from the day course.

Driving exam

When can I take the exam?

When can I take the exam?

You may take the practical exam as soon as you meet the legal requirements and your driving instructor believes you are ready. The CBR sets clear requirements that you must meet before the exam can be requested.

Requirements for the practical exam

  • Age: You may take the exam from the age of 17 (with 2toDrive). Are you under 18? Then you drive with a coach until you turn 18.
  • Valid theory certificate: You must have passed the theory exam.
  • Health declaration: You complete this yourself via www.cbr.nl.
  • Approval from your instructor: Your instructor decides together with you whether you are ready for the exam.

How quickly can you take the exam?

After your trial lesson, we immediately schedule your driving exam with the CBR. This gives you a clear end goal and allows us to spread your lessons in the best way towards that date.

Extra tip

CBR waiting times can go up to 8 to 10 weeks. So start your driving lessons in time and reserve your exam as soon as you can. At Rijleszone, we arrange this immediately after your trial lesson so that you don’t have to wait unnecessarily.

How long does a driving exam take?

How long does a driving exam take?

The practical exam at the CBR takes an average of 55 minutes. This time is divided into different parts so that your driving ability can be properly assessed.

Breakdown of the exam

  • Preparation (5 minutes): You meet the examiner and discuss the exam process.
  • Vehicle check (5 minutes): You answer a few questions about the car, for example about the lights or tyres.
  • Driving on the road (35 minutes): You deal with different traffic situations such as merging, intersections, and parking manoeuvres.
  • Evaluation (10 minutes): You immediately hear whether you have passed and receive feedback about your drive.

Tip for the exam

Make sure you arrive at the CBR on time and bring your valid ID. It is normal to be nervous, but remember: the examiner mainly wants to see that you can drive safely and independently.

What if I fail my exam?

What if I fail my exam?

Don’t worry, it can happen to anyone. The most important thing is that you understand what went wrong and that you return well prepared for your re-exam. At Rijleszone, we help you step by step.

Free re-exam*

With us, you benefit from a unique advantage: a free re-exam with our packages. You only pay for the extra driving lessons needed to prepare better. This keeps your costs fair and transparent.

What will we do after a failed exam?

  • Exam analysis: Together with your instructor, you discuss what went wrong.
  • Personal improvement plan: We focus the extra lessons on your weak points, such as special manoeuvres or traffic awareness.
  • A new date quickly: We immediately schedule your re-exam to avoid long waiting times.

Tip from Rijleszone

Stay calm and do not lose confidence in yourself. Most students pass on their second attempt. With the right guidance, you will too!

*Ask about the conditions for free re-exams during your trial lesson.

TERMS & CONDITIONS RIJLESZONE

Full master version

1. General
1.1 These terms and conditions apply to all offers, agreements, services, lesson packages, driving lessons, exams, promotions, campaigns, and all other activities of Rijleszone.
1.2 In these terms and conditions, the student is referred to as the “learner”.
1.3 Taking driving lessons, lesson packages, exams, or other services from Rijleszone constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
1.4 Deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid if confirmed in writing in advance by Rijleszone.
1.5 All agreements and legal relationships with Rijleszone are exclusively governed by Dutch law.

2. Services of Rijleszone
2.1 Rijleszone provides driving lessons with instructors who meet the requirements of the Dutch Driving Instruction Motor Vehicles Act (WRM).
2.2 Rijleszone undertakes to prepare the learner for the practical exam in a professional manner.
2.3 Rijleszone’s lesson vehicles are insured and comply with the applicable legal requirements and safety standards.
2.4 Rijleszone aims to let the learner take lessons with the same instructor as much as possible. If this is not possible due to scheduling, illness, holidays, roster-related reasons, or other circumstances, Rijleszone reserves the right to assign another instructor.

3. Lesson duration and structure
3.1 One driving lesson lasts 45 minutes.
3.2 In practice, driving lessons are generally scheduled in blocks of 90 minutes, which equals 2 driving lessons of 45 minutes each.
3.3 If a 90-minute lesson block is taken, 2 lessons, or 90 minutes, will be deducted from the learner’s lesson package or balance.
3.4 Lesson minutes and lesson packages are purchased in advance and automatically settled based on the scheduled or completed lesson time.
3.5 The learner is always responsible for having sufficient balance or enough remaining lesson minutes.
3.6 If the learner has insufficient lesson minutes or balance, a scheduled driving lesson may be cancelled by Rijleszone or may not be scheduled.
3.7 A driving lesson always ends at the pre-scheduled end time, regardless of any delays during the lesson, traffic conditions, or other external factors.

4. Validity of lesson packages
4.1 Lesson packages, prepaid lessons, and credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.2 After this validity period has expired, remaining lessons, lesson minutes, and credits will lapse by operation of law without entitlement to a refund, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
4.3 Lesson packages, credits, exams, and promotions are personal and non-transferable to third parties.

5. Scheduling driving lessons
5.1 Driving lessons are scheduled in consultation between the learner and Rijleszone.
5.2 Rijleszone reserves the right to determine the final schedule, duration, order, and frequency of driving lessons due to roster-related, practical, or organisational reasons.
5.3 The agreed lesson time is fully used for driving instruction. This also includes explanation, preparation, evaluation, and necessary travel related to the lesson.
5.4 If, due to traffic, delays, congestion, route changes, or other circumstances, the full lesson time is not actually driven, this does not entitle the learner to a refund, replacement, or compensation.

6. Obligations of the learner
6.1 The learner must be ready at the agreed date, time, and location for the driving lesson.
6.2 The instructor observes a maximum waiting time of 15 minutes. If the learner is not present on time, arrives late, or does not show up, the instructor may leave and the lesson will be charged in full.
6.3 The learner must cancel or reschedule a driving lesson at least 48 hours in advance.
6.4 If a cancellation or rescheduling takes place within 48 hours before the scheduled lesson time, the driving lesson will be charged in full. This also applies in case of illness.
6.5 Only in exceptional situations may article 6.4 be deviated from, provided the learner can prove the situation with written evidence. Exceptional situations are exclusively defined as: the death of a family member up to and including the second degree, or an emergency hospital admission of the learner.
6.6 During the driving lesson, the learner must fully and immediately follow the instructor’s instructions.
6.7 During the driving lesson, the learner must carry a valid ID and, if applicable, a valid theory certificate or other required document.
6.8 The learner is not permitted to take a driving lesson or exam under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication, or any other substances that may affect driving ability or concentration.
6.9 In the event of aggressive, dangerous, disrespectful, or otherwise unacceptable behaviour, Rijleszone may immediately terminate the driving lesson or agreement without refund of amounts already paid.

7. Obligations of Rijleszone
7.1 Rijleszone reserves the right to reschedule or cancel driving lessons in the event of instructor illness, unforeseen traffic situations, technical problems, weather conditions, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
7.2 If a driving lesson is cancelled or rescheduled by Rijleszone, the lesson will be rescheduled in consultation with the learner. In such a case, the cancelled lesson will not be charged.

8. Payment
8.1 Payment for driving lessons, lesson packages, exams, and other services must be made in advance, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8.2 If a payment is reversed, refunded, or withdrawn, Rijleszone is entitled to charge administrative costs of EUR 12.00 per transaction.
8.3 If a payment remains outstanding for more than 14 days, Rijleszone is entitled to suspend driving lessons, not schedule any new driving lessons, and not request or allow an exam or re-exam to take place.
8.4 If the learner remains in default despite a reminder, Rijleszone may transfer the claim to a debt collection agency. The associated costs are borne by the learner insofar as legally permitted.

9. Practical exam
9.1 A practical exam is only requested or scheduled if the learner has met all conditions set by Rijleszone. These include in any case: full payment of all outstanding amounts, possession of a valid theory certificate, and granting a valid authorisation via DigiD if required.
9.2 Rijleszone has no influence over waiting times, availability, or scheduling of exams at the CBR.
9.3 The learner takes the practical exam in the same lesson vehicle in which the lessons were taken, or in an equivalent vehicle if the original vehicle is unavailable due to circumstances.

10. Free re-exam guarantee (if applicable)
10.1 The learner only qualifies for the free re-exam guarantee if all advised driving lessons have been fully completed, all lessons from the lesson package have been fully completed, the learner is assessed as exam-ready by the instructor, and the learner has followed the instructor’s instructions and advice.
10.2 If the learner fails the first practical exam, the free re-exam guarantee may be used, provided all conditions have been fully met.
10.3 To activate and use the free re-exam guarantee, the learner is required to purchase a re-exam package of at least 10 driving lessons. This package includes 450 minutes of driving lessons.
10.4 If the learner does not purchase a re-exam package, the right to the free re-exam guarantee automatically lapses.
10.5 The free re-exam guarantee also lapses if the learner has taken fewer lessons than advised, has not completed all lessons from the package, independently decides to take the exam against the instructor’s advice, shows insufficient effort, does not follow instructions, interrupts the driving course for a long period, or lets the theory certificate expire.
10.6 Rijleszone reserves the right to determine whether all conditions for the free re-exam guarantee have been met.
10.7 Rijleszone does not guarantee that the learner will obtain a driving licence. The result of the practical exam is determined solely by the CBR.
10.8 The free re-exam guarantee can be applied a maximum of once per learner.
10.9 The free re-exam guarantee and/or exam costs relate exclusively to the reservation of the practical exam at the CBR.
10.10 All other costs surrounding the practical exam are charged separately, including but not limited to the use of the lesson car during the exam, guidance by the instructor, driving lessons prior to the exam, and any extra driving lessons on the day of the exam.
10.11 On the day of the practical exam, the required lesson time, including driving before the exam, the instructor’s presence, and the use of the lesson vehicle, will be charged as regular driving lesson time and settled against the lesson package or balance.
10.12 The practical exam only includes the reservation at the CBR. Other services, facilities, and costs are not included unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10.13 If the learner has insufficient lesson minutes, balance, or paid lesson time available, the exam or re-exam cannot proceed via Rijleszone.

11. Termination of the agreement
11.1 Insofar as legally applicable, the learner has the right to revoke the agreement within 14 days after purchase, provided no driving lessons have yet been taken or other services used.
11.2 After the statutory withdrawal period has expired, a notice period of 1 month applies, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
11.3 Rijleszone is entitled to terminate the agreement immediately in the event of repeated no-shows, payment arrears, abuse, provision of incorrect information, or inappropriate behaviour by the learner.

12. Refunds
12.1 Within 14 days after purchase, unused lessons or credits may be refunded insofar as this is legally required and provided no services have yet been performed.
12.2 If the agreement is terminated after 14 days, lessons already taken may be recalculated based on the current single-lesson rate.
12.3 Refund of lesson packages or parts thereof after the withdrawal period has expired is only possible if and insofar as the law requires this or if confirmed in writing by Rijleszone.

13. Liability
13.1 Rijleszone is insured for damage and accidents during driving lessons and exams, insofar as these fall within the insurance coverage.
13.2 Traffic fines, administrative sanctions, and offences attributable to the learner during the driving lesson or exam are borne by the learner.
13.3 Rijleszone is not liable for damage arising from driving under the influence, reckless behaviour, the provision of incorrect or incomplete information by the learner, or other circumstances attributable to the learner.
13.4 Any liability of Rijleszone is limited to the amount paid out in the relevant case by its insurer.

14. Pick-up service
14.1 If Rijleszone offers a pick-up service, the learner will be picked up at a location agreed in advance.
14.2 The pick-up time may vary due to traffic congestion, weather conditions, parking problems, or other practical circumstances.
14.3 Travel time and movement related to picking up or dropping off the learner may form part of the driving lesson and may therefore be considered lesson time.

15. Weather conditions and vehicle
15.1 Rijleszone may cancel or reschedule driving lessons if weather conditions or other safety risks make it irresponsible to continue the lesson.
15.2 If a driving lesson is rescheduled for that reason, no lesson fee will be charged.
15.3 If the lesson vehicle is unavailable due to technical or other circumstances and no replacement or equivalent vehicle can be used, the lesson will be rescheduled free of charge.

16. Medical fitness and driving eligibility
16.1 The learner is obliged to provide correct, complete, and timely information about their medical condition, driving eligibility, driving bans, confiscated licence, limitations, or other circumstances that may affect the taking of driving lessons or exams.
16.2 If it appears that the learner is not authorised to drive a motor vehicle or has concealed relevant information, all resulting consequences, damage, and costs are entirely borne by the learner.
16.3 The instructor has the right to refuse a driving lesson or exam if, in his or her judgment, the safety of the learner, instructor, or third parties cannot be guaranteed.

17. Force majeure
17.1 Rijleszone is not liable for failure or late performance of obligations if this is the result of force majeure.
17.2 Force majeure includes, among other things: illness, extreme weather conditions, traffic conditions, malfunctions, technical defects, government measures, calamities, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Rijleszone.

18. Privacy
18.1 The learner’s personal data will only be used for administration, communication, scheduling, exam requests, and other purposes necessary for the performance of the agreement.
18.2 Rijleszone processes personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and does not share this data with third parties unless necessary for the execution of the agreement or legally required.

19. Use of visual material
19.1 Rijleszone may use photo, video, and other visual material featuring the learner for promotional purposes, including social media, website, and advertising expressions.
19.2 If the learner objects to this, this must be communicated to Rijleszone in writing in advance.

20. Complaints
20.1 Complaints about Rijleszone’s services must be reported in writing and as soon as possible.
20.2 Rijleszone aims to handle complaints within a reasonable time and, where possible, arrive at an appropriate solution.

21. Promotions and offers
21.1 Promotions, discounts, and promotional packages from Rijleszone are valid only once per learner.
21.2 It is not permitted to use the same promotion more than once, regardless of the method of registration, sign-up, or payment.
21.3 In the event of misuse of promotions or offers, Rijleszone is entitled to declare the promotion invalid and still charge the price difference.
21.4 Promotions, discounts, and offers are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
21.5 Promotions cannot be combined with other offers unless otherwise agreed in writing.
21.6 Rijleszone reserves the right to change, limit, or terminate promotions, offers, and their conditions at any time.
